A satirical short film that explores the abysses of “green capitalism”
In this fictional world, the extremists are not those that we might expect. Zoé grew up in a stable and loving home where she led an inconspicuous and peaceful adolescent life, until she met a radicalization agent on TikTok. And boom! that's when her world comes tumbling down! Zoé cuts ties with her family and dives deep into an ambiguous and still poorly documented ideology: green capitalism. Like a mockumentary, this short fiction film features interviews with Zoé’s childhood friends, family members and radicalization experts.
Written and directed by Julien Boisvert, the project explores the contradictions and pitfalls of eco-responsible consumption. Can we really “save the world one step at a time” as some advertising slogans claim?
