Chronicles of a Ferry
Depuis plus de 115 ans, Rivière-du-Loup est relié à la rive nord du Saint-Laurent par un traversier qui bat inlassablement la mesure, beau temps, mauvais temps....
Documentary - Feature-length - 2027
A foray into the world of Catholic prayers.
In Quebec, the Catholic faith has evolved from an oppressive imperative to a veritable taboo in just a few decades. What becomes of the faithful who persist in praying to the Catholic God in a society that no longer wants this tradition? This documentary offers an intimate glimpse into the spiritual experience as lived by those who are voiceless and powerless within the Church: the laity. In this ensemble documentary, the worshippers share with simplicity and transparency what has shaped their quest for truth, without shying away from difficult topics. From the deeply moving sense of God’s presence to their encounter with the institutional Church, they bear witness to the complexity and astonishing diversity of their journeys. Beyond words, this film is above all an invitation to contemplate the faces of these worshippers and to reflect on the mysterious exchange that is whispered between humans and the Sacred.
